Spirit Airlines is restarting service between Cleveland Hopkins and Orlando a bit earlier than planned, but the flight will stop in Columbus until May 19.
Cleveland Hopkins and Orlando route will run May 3 through May 19, on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursday only. The flight departs Cleveland at 1:30 p.m., arrives in Columbus at 2:16 p.m., leaves Columbus at 3:15 p.m. and lands in Orlando at 5:29 p.m. The flight back to Cleveland from Orlando is nonstop.
In addition to the new Cleveland to Columbus to Orlando route, the carrier will fly Pittsburgh to Latrobe (Pennsylvania) to Orlando, and Plattsburgh, N.Y., to Niagara Falls, N.Y., to Fort Lauderdale.
Spirit spokesman Field Sutton said the carrier looks forward to additional growth in Cleveland. “As we look to the future, we look forward to serving and expanding in the region for years to come. We’re pleased to resume service to CLE, and we look forward to adding more flight options as we come out on the other side of the pandemic.”
